Cellophane
"That was the last song we wrote for the record and the first one on the record, which is pretty odd. It's about a fading rock star. We based it a bit on Iggy Pop. At the time I wrote that with David Werner, the guy who produced the album, I was really into listening to Fun House and some of the old Iggy records, as well as Transformer by Lou Reed and a lot of the Bowie things. Anyway, I was at home, and David was at home, and we both saw the same Behind the Music about Iggy Pop. We called each other at the same time and said, 'Did you see that? This is perfect!' That first chord comes from studying with some really great guitar players at Berklee and after that, mainly with a guy named Bruce Bartlett."
