CJ Li has a passion for music that breaks all boundaries -- she speaks her mind and stands up for what she believes in. Her energy and charisma make her presence hard to miss. Born in Canada and raised around the world, CJ channels her own diversity into her songs, giving them a defining edge. CJ has been honing her craft since the tender age of seven, and now writes songs that share her experiences and pressures in an ever-changing world through meaningful lyrics. Being a realist with a dynamic personality allows everyone to relate to her exciting music.

CJ is releasing her debut album, "What If", this spring and she is also an active member of Vancouver's local music scene. She hopes to enrich her songwriting, fine tune her guitar skills and further share her music beyond her hometown by traveling to different parts of the world.

Aside from her collection of original tunes, CJ has an impressive list of achievements as an artist. The Canada Music Fund Council has acknowledged her potential as a musician by granting her assistance in producing her album. Her songs have been aired on Vancouver's most popular radio stations including: The Beat 94.5, Z95.3, and JackFM 96.9. Her media experience consists of exclusive interviews with Global TV and The Beat 94.5, as well as being featured on a segment of Entertainment Tonight. Broadjam & TAXI rock fans recently featured CJ Li as the winner of the "Rock Contest", and claimed the title for Best Rock Song. CJ was nominated as a semi-finalist for the Canadian Radio Star National Songwriting Competition 2006, a region finalist for Global TV's ROCKSTAR series and a finalist for Tinderbox Music's promotional services. CJ's hit single, "You're Nothing More", has also reached new heights on Broadjam's music charts such as, the British Columbia Top 10, Pop-Rock Top 10, Fan Picks - Age 15-24 and Canada Top 10. In addition to "You're Nothing More", one of CJ's other hits "Whatcha Gonna Do" is also a prospect for the soundtrack of an upcoming Warner Brothers' movie.

CJ's tunes hook you in while her lyrics keep you thinking. Each song is a story in itself and her music always leaves you craving for more.
